Mission Statement

Regenerate Australia (formerly Carbon Positive Australia) is an Australian charity that has been restoring degraded lands in Australia through ecologically sensitive planting for the last 21 years. To date we have restored over 5,000 hectares, planted over 6 million trees and captured over 650,000 tonnes of carbon, collaborating with landholders, communities and environmental organisations. 

Regenerate Australia funds and undertakes tree planting and carbon sequestration projects that increase canopy cover and biodiversity, and that have positive climate, health and wellbeing outcomes, with a particular focus on:

1. Degraded lands planting; 
2. City / urban planting; and 
3. Remote and Indigenous lands planting

Our projects focus on increasing green cover across Australia in areas where climate change impacts can be mitigated through the planting of trees. We plant on degraded land to increase biodiversity and improve soil health. Through our city and urban projects, we seek to reduce urban heat island effects, and improve the wellbeing of those living in disinvested communities, reducing heat-related illnesses, and boosting climate resilience. We collaborate with Indigenous-led and remote area projects to fund plantings that provide amenity and connection to Country, increase wellbeing and foster community health.
