Mission Statement
The Sailing Science Center’s mission is to inspire a passion for sailing and science by delighting people through discovery and play. The Sailing Science Center engages a diverse community through interactive learning exhibits which attract “kids” 5 to 95 with the lure, fun, excitement, adventure, and curiosity of sailing. We aim to create exhibits with strong STEAM (i.e., science, technology, engineering, art, and math) education underpinnings and operate the exhibits at community events and a future permanent interactive science museum framed around sailing.

The Sailing Science Center designs and creates fun, interactive exhibits that explore science through the lens of sailing. The exhibits are displayed at educational and community locations to reach both kids and adults. We are also working on a permanent museum to engage people from wider ranging social and cultural backgrounds. The Sailing Science Center has strong partnerships and a rapidly growing collection of exhibits, driven by a well-developed team, passionate about sailing, STEM education, and making a lasting, positive difference in the world.
