United Friends of the Children

Mission Statement

United Friends of the Children empowers current and former foster youth on their journey to self-sufficiency through service-enriched education and housing programs, advocacy, and consistent relationships with a community of people who care.

Why Donate to United Friends of the Children ?

Housing and education are two main arenas in which foster youth face barriers and challenges. To help current and former foster youth navigate and succeed within these critical areas, United Friends of the Children has two flagship programs: Pathways Housing Program and Education Scholars Program. Pathways Housing services include housing, individualized case management, educational support, career/vocational counseling and development, life skills classes, health education and mental health services. Our Scholars Program services include individualized academic counseling and mentorship and group workshops that focus on academic and socio-emotional skill-building.
