Mission Statement
To champion public awareness of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and challenges confronting our country’s heroes and rally support for shelter animal adoption by connecting heroes and companions.
Why Donate to Companions for Heroes?
Your donation will pair an adopted dog with a hero. All dogs receive American Kennel Club training with their Hero. Companion Dogs are certified to the AKC Canine Good Citizen Certification and Service Dogs are certified to the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. Every Companion and Hero receive a minimum of six scheduled check-ins while in the program and all of our Heroes receive a gift bag with C4H gear as a show of appreciation for their service and to celebrate their new Companion.
